Jocelyn is one of our hygienists in Stroud. Starting her dental career in the Royal Navy, Joss went on to qualify as a hygienist and, after 9 years’ service, moved to Gloucestershire - joining Confident in 2007. Joss is incredibly passionate about oral health and is part of the UK Oral Management in Cancer care group. She serves as a clinical ambassador & President-Elect for the Mouth Cancer Foundation; forms part of the working party that updates Government DBOH guidelines in the prevention and early detection of mouth cancer and also helps organise an annual charity fundraising conference “Talking Mouths Talking Cancer Care”. Having won various awards recognising her dedication to the field, we’re very lucky to have her on our team.

Joss has also completed her MSc in Advanced & Specialist Healthcare and is delighted to have published a peer reviewed textbook "Care of Head and Neck Cancer Patients". When she’s not in surgery or advocating for oral health and cancer care, Joss loves going out for walks in the fresh air, cooking up a delicious recipe in her kitchen and being a social butterfly.
