Bridges are made of three types of materials:

Porcelain – most like a natural tooth in colour
Gold Alloy – – strongest and most conservative
Porcelain with an inner metallic core (Porcelain Bonded to Metal Crown or “PBC”) – combines strength and aesthetics

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by bridging the gap between remaining natural teeth. It consists of one or more artificial teeth attached to dental crowns or wings that are cemented onto adjacent natural teeth.

Are there other options to replace missing teeth?

Yes dentures or implants can be an option to replace missing teeth.

How do I look after my bridge?

It is important to clean your bridge daily to prevent problems such as bad breath and gum disease. Your dentist will recommend you to use superfloss and tepe brushes to clean under the bridge to reach the areas that are inaccessible to a regular toothbrush. Your dentist or hygienist will demonstrate how.
