Dr Paul Hughes
General and Cosmetic Dentist

Dr Hughes is a general dentist associate at Confident Dental Care & Implant Clinic in Stroud.
Since graduating from Cardiff Dental School in 2005, Paul has been working in the South West.
Though he is Scottish by birth, Paul considers himself a West country lad having now resided here nearly 30 years. He enjoys the varied nature of working in general dental practice, but in particular he enjoys placement of aesthetic tooth-coloured composite restorations, providing same-day crowns using our CEREC technology, and saving teeth with root canal treatment.
Dr Hughes has undertaken significant continuing professional development work, including several restorative courses, a postgraduate diploma through Bristol University, and training to provide treatment under sedation – great news for patients that might be phobic, anxious, or worried about gagging or longer procedures.
Ultimately, Paul aims to treat his patients as he would his own family by providing minimally invasive dentistry and preserving as much of your natural tooth structure as is possible.
He lives locally in Nailsworth with his wife and two daughters. On the rare occasions he is not working or on Daddy duties, Paul is a fitness enthusiast and will usually be at the gym or following the mixed fortunes of the England rugby and cricket teams.
